Monsignor Peter Fleetwood

Welcome to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church

which is in the Crosby Pastoral Area of the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

We celebrate Sunday Mass on Saturday evening at 6.30pm and on Sunday morning at 11.00am.

At the Sunday morning Mass there is "Little Church"; children are invited to hear the Word of God in a way that is more suitable for them - it sounds lively and fun!

During the week, we celebrate Mass on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9.30am. This sometimes has to be changed, so please check by visiting the Newsletter section.

Before Christmas we had a Mass for Benedict Cadwallader who suffered a very serious brain injury whilst a first year student in Leeds University. Benedict had multiple organ failure in addition to a very serious bleed in his brain and the initial outlook was very bleak. The prayers have been heard but please continue to pray for Benedict who is at the beginning of a very long road of recovery. But still lots of prayers are needed for Ben.

This is the recents news: “After so long hovering on the border between 'vegetative' and 'minimally conscious', it looks as if Ben is leaving 'minimally conscious' with a bang. Everyone is astonished and delighted. We are told that progress may stop altogether at any stage; and that it is usual for it to proceed with lots of plateaus and pauses. But as far as rehab is concerned, the events of the last few days mean that Ben's options have become a lot less limited”.

The Church Annual Rota, with details of who is helping out at Little Church, Welcoming and Tea & Coffee, can be downloaded here. It can also be found on the Events and Little Church pages.

The Links Page now has a link to the Vatican Website relating to the

The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, which allowed on the 15th January 2011 the ordination to the Catholic priesthood three former Anglican Bishops: Reverend Andrew Burnham, Reverend Keith Newton, and Reverend John Broadhurst.
